It’s been so long since I did a fashion post, but here I am finally! I have more food posts because they’re much easier: take photos, edit photos, publish blog post. Fashion posts, on the other hand, mean carry tripod around, connect camera remote to phone, pose several times while periodically checking to make sure I don’t look too awkward, and, well, you get the idea. This is also why I’m horrible about posting to Instagram regularly!
Anyway, I’m starting my winter fashion posts with one of my favorite combinations: sweater and leather! This comfy sweater (called Snowbunny Off the Shoulder Sweater) is by Free People, and it’s a lovely gray color that would go well with most bottoms. My favorite part is the “fold-over” layer on the bodice; I even bought another sweater with the same feature in a brick red color. Although this sweater is no longer available in stores, you can purchase it on Poshmark here, or buy a similar one on sale (50% off!) at Banana Republic here.
The leather skirt is by Antonio Melani, and is also no longer sold in stores; their latest leather skirt is currently on sale at Dillards, though! This is a genuine leather skirt, and I’ve been feeling a bit guilty about that because I’ve been vegetarian for years. What do you think? Is it okay to wear animal products if you don’t eat them? For the foreseen future I’ll be sticking with vegan leather, but I have lots of good things to say about this skirt: it’s wrinkle-free, a unique purple-brown color, and does a great job of complimenting my sweater.
At first I forgot to take my mask off, so you’ll notice it under my chin in a few photos!😂🤦🏽♀️
