I haven’t published anything in a long time. The last post was pre-quarantine February, which seems so far away now! Though it took me a little bit to “get back to business,” I’m excited to start blogging again with my favorite category: fashion.
The color black is not at all what comes to my mind when I think of summer. Nor does the word pants come to mind. However, when I noticed this summer/fall pantsuit for a too-good-to-be-true price, I acted instinctively and bought it.

What’s to like about it?
Material: Sure, the polyester is cheap, but it’s opaque enough to not be see through, but still light enough to not cause a sweat. It’s also wrinkle-free which is perfect if you prefer to wake up at the last minute, like me. Unlike other items I’ve had, the zipper glides effortlessly and the belt can be washed with the suit! If you’re looking for a simple and durable pantsuit, I highly recommend purchasing a polyester one (just make sure it’s not see-through!).
Details: It’s the upper half of the pantsuit that really sold me. I thought the collar gave it more personality, made it a bit more chic. As for the buttons, they provide a much-needed contrast against sold black. Pantsuits cover the body from the shoulders to the feet, so I think it’s very important that they have some extra, interesting detail(s), especially if it’s a solid color.
Ease: In my opinion, a pantsuit is the easiest thing you can own! You really just need shoes to “complete your look,” along with some jewelry and a hat if you’re feeling particularly stylish.
How I styled it:
This time I decided to keep things simple. Instead of using my accessories to add a pop of color, I wanted to just have a rose gold accent. Both my earrings and my triangular necklace were rose gold with a bit of silver pixie dust (well, glitter).
